Hi lovely fellow steemians, i greet you all. Today i present to you another post
titled(FORGIVENESS). What is forgiveness? Why do we have to forgive?
These are most of the questions that come into our minds when we hear
the word #forgiveness. I hope and believe that after reading this post,
Each and everyone of us should be able to forgive and also understand
why it is needed. Let us look at the meaning of forgiveness.

Forgiveness is the act of compassionately releasing the desire to
punish someone or yourself for the offense. It is state of grace,
nothing you can force or pretend. There are no short cut.
Mistakenly, people wanting to be spiritual, have prematurely
tried to forgive after someone emotionally knifes them in the gut.
First you must feel anger before you can begin to forgive.

Having the spirit of forgiveness is by grace. You can't force it
to come out from within. It must happen naturally.

The above image is for explanation purpose.

Revenge is the desire to get when someone does you wrong. It is
natural to feel angry, to say "l'm not going to let that get away with
this", whatsoever this is. However, revenge reduces you to your worst
self, put you on the same level with those spiteful people we abhor.

Additionally, studies have shown that revenge increase stress and
impairs health and immunity. Sure, if someone hit you with a stick,
you have the impulse to hit that person back (thus the basis for wars).
To thrive personally and as a species,we must resist this predictable
lust for revenge, and seek to right wrongs more positively. This
doesn't make you a pushover; you're refusing to act in a tediously
destructive way, antithetical to ever finding peace. As confucious
says, " before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.

Though you may feel angry when someone wrong you but make
sure you do not sin or act wrongly. The person may push you
to the peek of your anger but try as much as possible to resist.
Because you trying to make peace shouldn't seek wrong for wrong
but rather right for wrong.
Things will get worst when you try to avenge the offender.

We as human beings will definitely offend one another either one way
or the other way, intentional and unintentional.
We should try to forgive when this happens.
I will end the first part here and continue the second part another time.

As a holistic practitioner I believe forgiveness is the prerequisite to healing ourselves. And yes we can only forgive once the emotional charge is gone. I look forward to your next post
