Child Support on a blockchain??
Just a thought.
Child support has had a bad rap for many years, and for good reason. It's outdated, disproportionate, and at times, flat out unreasonable. And experiences vary from the court system bias, to the custody battles, to payment amounts, and even punishments. But one of the complaints that is most common is: how the money is being spent, and whether or not the money is being used responsibly by the non-custodial parent.
This is where blockchain can come into play.
To help give better transparency between the parents AND the courts, and show proof of transactions in a distributed ledger, more specifically, a permissioned ledger. Smart contracts, ledgers, and peer to peer transactions just sound like a better set-up to me.
Good idea/ Bad idea? What do your thoughts?
