Pain

Hello my fellow steemians, I hope all is good.
In medicine, we define pain as an unpleasant physical sensation which causes distress but its just a word if someone else is experiencing it. But if one is experiencing the same pain, he realises how difficult it is bear.
We have a famous saying in Hindi "jis tan laage, us tan saaje" which means he who gets injured, experiences pain. Others can just sympathize with him.
Today I saw something similar. A man weighing more than 140 kg visited a doctor, his concern was to loose weight quickly by any surgical procedure because he has some problem in his legs and cannot workout, he cannot go for a diet because he has cravings and surgery seems to be a good option to him.
The doctor convinced the patient so well that he agreed to pay a sum of 400,000 rupees in order to get the cosmetic surgery.

When his father asked about the complications associated with surgery, the doctor replied "it's to be discussed after the procedure". The procedure is quite risky and in some cases death may occur as well but the patient isn't aware of this. Would the doctor behave exactly the same when if his family member would require the procedure? I guess not, because he wouldn't feel the pain if the patient dies of complications. Obviously because he is not related to the patient, only his family will be left crying if some mishappening occurs. Doctors should be very considerate, it's someone's life they are dealing with. It should not always be about money. They should be empathetic. They might not be anything to you but they are everything for someone.
