A knife that is literally and figuratively looking sharp. I think with each build each knife has some unique quality to that matches or surpasses the one previous to it. Maybe that means you're mastery is complete? :)

As with everything, when one puts in the hours into something one will soon see some changes. Luckily, it seems the changes that can be observed in my knifemaking could be described as positive.
I will admit that I've seen the positive shift in my craft in the last half a year or so. Some things just come easier, some things I was doing I don't do anymore, and some things I've never dreamed of doing are slowly becoming my routine.
I wouldn't say I have mastered it, far from it, I don't think one can actually complete one's mastery.
There's still a long and bumpy road ahead of me, and hopefully, I will never reach the end. That would mean I have reached the point in my life where I can't learn anything new - that terrifies me.
Funny story about this knife.
I was doing some drawings in CAD - even though I don't do that every - because I had an idea of water-jet cutting a bunch of knives and forks out of an old saw-mill I have. Not only for the material but also I wanted to use the cut-out saw as an installation.
Anywho, I managed to print out one of the Gyutos as seen from an angle. And first I was a bit pissed off about how dumb-dumb I am, but then I noticed that the outline, even though it obviously wasn't a Gyuto, looks kinda badass. So I went and did the knife :)
