12 Regarding spiritual gifts, brothers, I want you to understand this matter well. 2 You know that when they were pagans they let themselves be dragged towards the mute idols. 3 Therefore I warn you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God can curse Jesus; nor can anyone say: "Jesus is the Lord" but by the Holy Spirit.

4 Now, there are different gifts, but one Spirit. 5 There are different ways to serve, but one Lord. 6 There are different functions, but it is the same God who does all things in all.

7 Each one is given a special manifestation of the Spirit for the good of others. 8 To some God gives by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to others, by the same Spirit, word of knowledge; 9 to others, faith through the same Spirit; to others, and by that same Spirit, gifts to heal the sick; 10 to others, miraculous powers; to others, prophecy; to others, to discern spirits; to others, speaking in different languages; and to others, interpreting languages. 11 All this is done by one and the same Spirit, who distributes each one according to what he determines.
