Motorbike Tour Day 9
Day 9
The day started with getting my bike back from the construction site.
Then we were getting our bikes ready to leave Istanbul. A few last good bye photos and then let’s go.
Goodbye Istanbul, we’ve learned a lot here.
After trying to turn our motorbikes in the burning sun for half an hour at the end of a strong descending and very narrow street which suddenly ended, we went straight to Greece. Perhaps a little bit too straight (speed limit fine, Andreas: 107€, Thanh: 52€). It didn´t help that I told them that we left all our money in Istanbul and that I love Istanbul and Kokorec. All I got was just a smile from the Turkish police officers.
Just before the border we had a wonderful lunch with nice lemon-brain-lamb soup.
After showing our motorbike papers 3 times at the border we said goodbye to Turkey
The street in Greece was gorgeous. No traffic, new asphalt, sunset and sun rays which are shooting through the clouds and hitting green mountains and the Aegean Sea. With this godlike feeling where should we go? RIGHT – Let´s sleep at the mount Olympus.. By the way it’s my birthday so I make myself a present. I was refueling with V-POWER real 98 Octan Buddy!!!.
Finally we found a hostel in Greece at about 22:00
We drove 754Km and the route looks like this:
