ΖΗΤΩ Η ΕΛΛΑΣ

On this day exactly 77 years ago was to be one of the darkest epochs of Greek history with the capture of Greece by the Axis powers .
It was the 27th of April 1941 when the Flag of the third Reich was hoisted atop of the Acropolis which was to remain for three and a half years till the beautiful blue and white flag of Greece once again flew proud .
In memory of the hundreds of thousands of Greeks who died during this brutal occupation through war , starvation and executions.
