1st of March in Romania

Can you believe that spring is already here? This spring is special for me because I am going to have a spring wedding this year.

I live in Romania and we have a tradition here regarding 1st of March. We call them martisoare. Girls and women recieve them on this first day of spring from boys and men. This way, the gentlemen are wishing us a beautiful spring and we have to wear these special "martisor" on our clothes near the heart.

Ladies like this special day because they feel apreciated, beautiful and loved. I have recieved 3 martisoare today from my coleague, a friend and my brother in law.
