The Adventure Of Walking Back To The Mechanic's
I had a phone call earlier that my car was ready. So I would have to walk back to the mechanic's. As I started my walk a neighbor wanted to know where I was going.
I told him I was on my way to the mechanic's to pick up my car. He wanted to know what was wrong with my car and all and even asked me if I wanted a ride to my mechanic's place. I told him about my car and even talked about his two doberman dogs that were near by.
I told him that I would be OK, as it would be good exercise. I told him, if I ever needed a ride to a place that is more than I am willing to walk, that I would let him know.
He said, Yes, let me know.
When on my way I did find fruit trees in people's yards and I took some pictures. These are pictures from different peoples yards.
That does look like a nice bunch of nectarines. I also have a nectarine tree at my home. I like eating them fresh and I also like to freeze them and make cold protein shakes from them. May the person that takes care of this fruit have a good crop.
So as I keep on walking I notice this fruit. I am guessing that this is some kind of plum tree. Very nice looking fruit.
Walking a little more I find this persimmon tree. I believe this is the kind of persimmon that can be eaten like an apple. I also have a persimmon tree, but it is an Asian persimmon tree. It is the kind that you have to wait till really ripe to eat or it will leave you will a strange feeling in your mouth.
The kind that I have is good for drying or even making cookies. On this tree though it will give you the crunchy persimmon. I like that too.
Also as I was walking to the mechanics, I got to say hello to two different people on my walk. There was a young woman that just came from a near by liquor store with a little bag in her hand.
I didn't want to get in her space so I walked on the curb when I got close to her giving her the sidewalk and said, Hello. She said, Hello back and asked me how I was doing. I told her I was doing good and went my way.
Then a little further there was an older woman that was walking toward me so I did the same and walked on the curb giving her space and said, Hello. She said, Hello back and asked how I was doing. I told her I was doing great and went on my way.
It usually takes about 20 or 25 minutes to get to the mechanic's. I finally make it there. I pay my bill and I got my 89 Nissan Sentra back. That is great since my 93 Honda Accord can't start at the moment.
So after I checked out my car and found everything to be good, I walked back to the mechanic work area and thanked them for fixing my car and wanted to make another appointment for my 93 Honda Accord.
I told them that the car won't start. It might need a new starter. So I got my appointment for Monday morning. I will have to tow it from my mom's house. Remember in my last blog that my 93 Honda Accord wouldn't start after I took my mom home from taking her shopping.
Well, if the 93 Honda Accord had to break down, it is good that it broke down in a safe place, like my mom's house.
After I made my appointment for Monday, I drove my 89 Nissan Sentra home and noticing that everything is working properly.
Let's end with a scripture, The steps of a man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23.
