Create your Culture

As Americans what do we embrace? What can we idolize and hold close to our individual that we consider heritage? In a place that is a melting pot of ideologies and views one can easily be lead astray, as to what he or she may consider as their "culture".
From the time we grow into our adolescent years we are surrounded by, glammar and expression of oneself that can only be seen as freedom from the perspective of a young child. The allure of the big screen is what has guided many of our choices and life decisions to date, yet imagine how contrast your life if not for the impression a Hollywood star has imposed on you as a child.

This is not all wrong, because if not for these actors and icons, we as a society would not know or begin to consider the allure a star athlete or Hollywood performer carries, that aspires us to someday rise to stardom. Without these rolemodeles many of us surely would not be living the lives we are today.

However it creates a sort of infatuation that is beyond that of humble fantasy. We as individuals can relate to those we idolize and look up to, hence we see ourselves within them as they progress through their conflicts and struggles.
This type of projecting of self that we do upon our Idols is important because it shows how one we have yet to come in contact with, can become such an important factor in one's personal as well as individual development.

When it comes to American culture everything is all "pop". The cinematics we view , to the clothes we wear, cars we drive, even down to the grammar and slang we communicate with. It's all Been inspired by what we consume, as a population through visual outlets. So I create this post to inspire anyone to curate their own culture and habit of good practice. Aspire to be the one that inspires youth, not corrupt it.
