Life being in an Interracial Marriage
Me and my husband been together for six years but we been married for two years. Ever since I met my husband he has been a blessing. I enjoy his company and overall, nobody has ever loved me and cared for me better than my husband has. The best thing about being in an interracial marriage is learning about one another’s culture, especially when it comes to food. I enjoy eating Mexican food and being able to learn and cook different foods that I have never cooked before. For example, for breakfast I have learned to make my Husband homemade tortillas with egg and bacon with chorizo on the side. It is a joy to cook for my husband and my husband is so amazed what I have learned so much in so little time when it comes to learning how to cook Hispanic food because my husband says, “A lot of Senoritas cannot make homemade tortillas”.
Me and my husband do not have any kids but we plan on having kids, and I tell him all the time I want our kids to experience both of their ethnicities. I am learning how to speak Spanish which can be difficult being my age and just learning it when English was all I have spoken my whole life, though my Husband teaches me, he jokes around and says, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. LOL.
My husband is my life and joy and I want to be with him forever. I love learning about his culture and he loves learning about mines. I learn more when it is time for family gatherings. Being in an interracial relationship also has its downfalls. For instance, we get a lot of stares when we are in public and other people of our own races have put us down for dating one another. What happen to we are all equally the same? No matter how much hate we get from others, we will always love one another and will not let anyone come in our relationship to destroy it.

You two guys look lovely together! Interracial couples have beautiful children so I bet you will have some gorgeous little ones. :) Do not let the ignorant starers bring you down! I wish you the best!
Thank you!
