All too common of a problem. Upvoted and resteemed. Some charities, do get a decent portion of the donations to where they are supposed to go, but many are a crock of horse doo doo. Thanks @crok for mentioning Haiti, I won't go there because people will blame me for getting too political. Many will blame me for taking sides in a false division.

hey what can i say about a diabtes charity that collects around one million united states dollars and donates about ten thousand to add their advertising to a real functional charity...
i have no clue go ask those in haiti or western africa . . . !!!

True.
Most of those "donate for Africa" charities are a scam. Many African countries are developed with houses, companies, towers etc yet the media is always showing some poor malnourished kid in the middle of a desert with flies on his eyeballs to deceive the western world and make millions in donations.
Even the ones who do send the money end up feeding the corrupt people in charge of the disbursement here.
If Africa got to utilize even 10% of those donations, power outage and malaria deaths would be a thing of the past.
donations are important to the middle "men " to siphon off part of a percentage as the money flows along to the end recipients . . .
those poor people in down town haiti, hurricane katrina and Puerto Rico . . .
those in power have perverted democracy for greed ...
