Happiness and it's have many tastes
When I see any happy face, it makes me wonder why the person is so happy which makes him smile. What makes people happy? Is not it a very basic question we all wonder about? And maybe we all searched for the answer to learn how we can make us feel happy.
What I understand from my life is, happiness has many tastes, it has so different diversity. It may not work on us the same way works on others. So, trying blindly others ' happy tips may not work every time.
Moreover, happiness has its own way to expose. It depends on our culture, way of life, our bought up, family norms, personality, and so many things. Some people don't find happy elements in silly things, on the other hand, silly things matter most for some people.
But we can't deny the cultural effects of happiness. From personal achievement to human rights, from social harmony to freedom; happiness has so many meanings. The things are, our level of happiness and how we consider ourselves happy mostly depends on the social norms.
How a materialistic society sees happiness is totally opposite from a country that is not that materialistic.
From our personal level, we also consider ourselves happy depending on what society approves and desires. The highest-paid job may not be the standard of happiness in some cultures.
Cross-cultural differences have a huge impact on the pursuit of happiness. And it has a direct link with our well being. That's why we often get to see countries with low incomes are happier than in developed countries. Because the way we see life depends on where we live, how we think and what we learned.
So, it's not like that you can't be happy living in a culture that is most likely less happy or see/treat happiness in a different way. We all can be happy in our own way. But considering others more happy or unhappy depending on our consideration may not be always true. Because happiness has many tastes. And we may never get out of every phase of it.
Enjoy the way it is and be happy!
