Actually, re the comment by tomole, it would not be a nice gesture to follow his account - what he did is considered Spam in Steemit. Go to the three lines at top right, click, then click on FAQ. Check there and you'll see I am telling you the truth.
If you see him/she post something you like and you want to follow, that is when and why you follow and upvote. Never upvote just because someone upvoted you.
Upvoting is meant to be reserved for encouraging posts that we will enjoy seeing/reading, not for trading or begging.
