I feel like "to pimp a butterfly" is an appropriate response to your metaphor as to why he is having problems coping with his position. That is why Kendrick is so great, as he will write albums that have multiple meanings the more you listen to them. He will NEVER be able to find his way out of depression through rap by proxy of the cultural exploitation that has already occurred. He has taken that and run with it. His interviews are pretty insightful. Great post!
