MY JOURNEY ON THE PLANET EARTH🌍 #THINGS I HAVE LEARNT SO FAR#

Hello Steemian friends. My journey on earth has been educating, challenging and inspiring. Being a rules player that is been guided by principles, I have learnt so much from people and books and still learning because learning is a continuous process. I have learnt that:

1. Discovering oneself and having a belief that guides you is the beginning of peace and a simi-smooth ride on earth. The world is full of people with different perspective of life and it becomes necessary and important that you know what you want and stand firmly by it because if you don't, you can easily be pushed around by people to do things you might not be proud of. So set your standards and know what you stand for and what you don't. They more you familiarize and become secure with your boundaries, the less power other people will have over You.

2. It is not enough to talk about your goals. Write realistic goals and give yourself a deadline on when you intend to achieve such. I feel doing more on the 'HOW' to go about achieving these goals, the right people to meet to assist you achieve them is the key to fulfilling your dreams.

3. Don't waste your tears, time or energy in that old room. Whatever is past is gone. At times, time doesn't heal you but your self -will to be happy matters. I came to understand that trying to understand why things happened they way they did, is a waste of time because you will never understand everything. Make a decision to be happy and free from hurt. Form a habit to treat everyday as important because you only have one life and NOW. So make good use of it. Those who do good will surely get good, focus on becoming a better you each day.

4. Making a choice to change from good to bad or should I say evil because of how people treated you is a very wrong decision to make trust me. You becoming such only makes you a weakling. You are indirectly harming and hurting yourself by engaging in things that you once found disgusting. Don't let them win, don't throw in the towel, just keep being that good person because you will never know which bits of your kindness comes with the best reward. Remember that expecting good from people you did good to is the beginning of sorrow. Stop expecting.
   

5. People have a different views of what being successful is, but to me, to be successful doesn't necessarily mean wealth but when you are happy, contended and at peace with yourself, you are successful and rich.

6. Listen, there are so many treasures that can be bought with money, diamond, gold but dignity and integrity can never be bought. Also, having dignity doesn't mean you shouldnt express your feelings or emotions when you are sad nor allow people take advantage of your goodness. Dignity is showing self respect to oneself and having self-esteem. Don't let people ride on you no matter what.

7. Being forgiving doesn't mean you should allow people push you around nor should you put up with nonsense. Distance yourself from harmful people who don't feel any remorse all in the name of making peace with your past.

8. Keep your moral grounds high by not taking revenge, Revenge is for losers.

9. Invest in people by caring for them, daring them to be better people and sharing with them.

10. The frustrating thing about life is pretending to be someone else just to please others.

11. Always be ready for opportunities friends. Don't wait until you have an exam or interview before you can make adequate preparations. Start Now.

12. You will make progress if you form a habit of taking responsibility for your actions and deeds. Stop blaming others for things.

13. Be careful what you think or say. Your life is created to a large extent through your thoughts.
