Pacific Rim 2
My wife took me out on a surprise date tonight. We went out to dinner to our usual spot in town and then zipped over to our towns tiny theater and went to the new Pacific Rim movie. It was a very fun night!
I'm not gonna say the movie was amazing but I did enjoy it. Some of the acting and characters were questionable but overall the story was pretty cool. It's set about ten years after the original and starts out in a very peaceful world that shockingly turns quite violent over the course of the film. John Boyega (Finn from Star Wars) was quite good in it. It was cool to hear him playing a character with his normal accent, I left the movie wishing that Finn had the same voice in Star Wars.
I don't want to drop any spoilers so I will just summarize by saying that I think Pacific Rim 2 is worth a watch but maybe just wait until it's on Netflix or in the cheap theater.
