Nashville once hosted one of the most incredible cultural shows...
For their centennial celebration, Nashvillians put together one of the most remarkable cultural exhibitions ever. Pictured below are some examples from that festival, all the buildings were built with temporary materials, though residents did eventually create a permanent version of one building.
There was even a Great Pyramid!
Since Nashville was a dry community at that time (impossible to imagine today!) the city released the park from their jurisdiction and it was temporarily restructured into its own city. They named it Centennial City and alcohol was readily available for the many tens of thousands that flocked to see the spectacles.
