Steemit Weekly Health Challenge #3 | Allow Me to Teach You the 'Wim Hof' Method to De-Stress in Seconds
Some of you may or may not have heard of the Wim Hof method, but it is basically a catalyst for good health through strengthened immunity. The creator of the method (named none other than Wim Hof) is a Dutchman with a taste for the extreme... but at 59 years old he is more well conditioned than 99% of the planet.
The method itself is simple, but it's the evolution and will power involved with sustaining progress every time out that makes things a bit more difficult. Most people don't think about the pain of losing breath to the lungs, but it is a rush unlike anything else when one can hold it past their breaking point... and grow their lungs as they evolve their mind.
I have uploaded a short clip to DTube of my practicing the Wim Hof method, and although I do not practice this in the extreme cold to test my immune system and temperment, I practice standing up which allows my body to embrace the sensations I feel all the while supporting myself upward.
I created my own variation of the Wim Hof method which basically shortens the process yet still allows for the full benefits of the process. Be careful if this is your first time trying the method, it can create lightheadedness to an extreme you may not have felt before... I'd recommend first timers try this laying down.
