Judging by my personal experience, HOPE has more benefits than its disadvantages.
This is so because when we give room to HOPE, we enjoy the patience it offers us, which most of the time is what is required.
But regardless, just as your post illustrated, we need to recognize the right time to give up on HOPE based on the circumstances we find ourselves in.
