There is another saying, and that I have never agreed ... Tree that is born crooked never its branch straightens.
How it is written or spoken I also do not agree with the proverb. But by changing the proverb it may make sense and this I'm sure would be: A tree that is poorly planted and educated and gets crooked because of this really never straightens because it is a tree that has not learned the fundamental principles. Who does not learn respect at home does not learn later. People confuse schooling with education and this is learned in their home through their parents (human values that we have as family reference) and this responsibility should never be transferred to others.
