FOOD POISONING; HEALING WITH CHINESE HERBS, AND CANNABIS

Food poisoning is one of the worst experiences you can have! Often people who have had it say they would not wish it on their worst enemy. Here’s how to alleviate those nasty symptoms safely and effectively with a classic Chinese herbal formula and, of course, Cannabis. Specifically, Stomach Curing Formula and CBD oil.

One of my patients recently contracted Salmonella. I traced it back to the raw egg that she put into her morning breakfast shake. The onset of Salmonella is usually 6 to 72 hours so it was not hard to find the root cause. She had the classic symptoms of stomach cramping, vomiting, dry heaves and severe nausea even at the thought of food. Note that there is often times diorrhea or very loose stools that happen in food poisoning. Usual, y recovery is in 4 to 7days. Nonetheless, the bacteria will continue to be present in the intestinal tract and stool for weeks after recovery of symptoms—on average, 1 month in adults and longer in children.

So, what treatment program did I lay out and what were the results?

THE PROGRAM;

➢ Pill Curing AKA Stomach curing 3 tablets every 2 hours for the first 48 hours. After 48 hours extend the time between dosages to every 4 hours. Keep using the Pill Curing for 7 days- 4X a day. Pill/Stomach Curing is a classic Chinese herbal formula that has been used safely for thousands of years to help alleviate a wide variety of gastrointestinal problems. For all you world travelers, Pill/Stomach Curing is ideal to pack in your suitcase as it will often help prevent ol’ Montezuma from taking his proverbial ‘revenge’.

➢ 1 dropper full of CBD oil, strength of 15 % CBD from Hemp Touch every hour initially for the first 4 to 6 hours. After this timeframe was completed, I dosed 5 times in a 24-hour period for 2 days.

➢ Coconut water was given freely and frequently, at first in very small amounts the patient could keep down. Coconut water helps replenish electrolytes without all the refined sugar and artificial colors/flavors of most sports drinks.

➢ Probiotics broad-spectrum, high dosage 20 billion or more. 2 capsules, every 3 hours. After 48 hours 2X a day for a month. Knowing that the Salmonella bacteria may linger in the intestinal tract for up to a month, it is important to make sure you have an abundance of the good guys in there to kick out that bad bacteria.

➢ Dashi a Japanese soup stock used in Miso Soup. Dashi is a nourishing broth that makes you feel as though the lifeblood is flowing back into your veins.

Here is how the treatment progressed.

Within an hour of taking the first dose of Stomach Curing, the cramps noticeably lessened and soon stopped altogether. A dropper full of CBD oil was administered under the tongue and helped the patient feel calmer and get some much needed sleep. The combination of the Stomach Curing and CBD oil worked wonders in relieving the nausea and violent dry heaves the patient had been experiencing previously. Eventually the patient was able to sip some coconut water to rehydrate the body and replenish electrolytes. Anyone who has diarrhea or vomiting needs to replenish both fluids and electrolytes. Plain H20 from the tap will not provide the all-important electrolytes.

After about 24 hours, the patient was able to take a bit of nourishment in the form of Miso broth, made with the Dashi stock. Miso is a microbiome rich soup full of naturally occuring probiotic bacteria which supports gut health.

Here’s How to Make Miso with Dashi Stock

• Soak your Kombu for 4 hours in spring or filtered water.
To cook-
• Do not boil your Kombu- before the boil when the water has the tiny bubbles actively forming on the bottom of the pan -take out the Kombu and turn off the heat.
• Mix your unpasteurized Organic Miso in cool spring water in a separate bowl until all of the Miso is dissolved.
• Once the Kombu Dashi has cooled off so it is warm/very warm- add the miso to the stock.

IMPORTANT- Never boil your Miso or you will kill the naturally occurring probiotic bacteria

At the 24 to 36 hour mark Cannabis will aid the digestion and further promote pain/cramping reduction. I have highlghted Skunk 47 as a good strain as it is
Sedative, relaxing and good for pain relief.
