I love GSD's!! all dogs, to be honest. But I grew up with a Shepherd / Lab mix named Sam that looked exactly like a black GSD! He was the best dog ever.

We had been looking for one for awhile, after our last dog we had for over 15 years passed away. Our son brought us one for my hubbies birthday, and we thought well we should get 2 so that the first one was not lonely.
Little did we later discover that you should never get 2 males from the same litter. Therefore, ours each have separate sleeping sections, and while they can play for a bit together they soon turn aggressive towards each other so we have to separate them, but all in all, we are very glad to have both of them all the same.
That said, I do have to agree the black GSD's are truely beautiful, and even lab/ shepherd breeds can be very loyal as well. Thanks for stopping by on my post, chat again real soon!!
