Tried cooking some Korean Food - A great way to have tasty food for lazy cooks like me

in #life6 years ago

It is called “budae-jjigae” or “budae jeongol” which is simply a mix of processed food (sausages and luncheon meat), some vegetables (soybean sprouts, corn, beans, green onions, corn) rice cakes and beef stock. To eat it, you need to wait for it to boil then simmer until the vegetables are cooked. After that, you can add the ramen noodles then once the ramen noodles have softened then you can start to eat. You better eat the noodles first because it absorbs a lot of water and thus becomes soggy. Budae-jjigae is usually spicy but then again I tried to separate the spicy stuff because we eat the stew with a 2-year old. If I want to make it spicy I just add the chili pepper paste on my bowl before I eat the stew. Because this stew includes a lot of processed food, it tends to be salty in the end so I think you’ll never go wrong with it if you cook it at home.
