The World's Most Powerful Antioxidant - Astaxanthin
I don't know where I have been for the last 5 years, I must have been living under a rock.
An email popped into my inbox this last week, extolling the virtues of a nutritional supplement called Astaxanthin.
I had never heard of this stuff before, yet after doing some research on it I discovered it is the most powerful antioxidant known to man - 6000 times more powerful than Vitamin C according to the experts.
Not only that, but I found out that one of the world's biggest producers of this stuff is New Zealand, my home country.
Apparently an entrepreneur in Nelson, NZ set up a factory to grow the algae that this superfood comes from, under lights.

Anyhow, I just thought I'd let the Steemit universe know about Astaxanthin - I'm planning to get some soon.
According to the email I got the other day, one guy who had been taking this stuff for a while suddenly realized that he didn't need his reading glasses any more. I just have to put that theory to the test. I have been wearing reading glasses for over 10 years now and it really gets to be a pain sometimes. For the sake of a few bucks for a bottle of vitamin pills, it's worth a try!
One vitamin site I found even offers a $5 discount for new customers so I'll probably check them out.

Good article , thanks for sharing with us !!!
NO WAY! That's incredible 😱 Just did some research on antioxidants for a post that I made about the health benefits of chai tea. I'm going to look into this stuff, sounds great.
Have you found any information on how this antioxidant corrects your eyes so you can read. If it works, I'd be willing to try it. Glasses are great but what a pain to wear. Thanks
From what I understand, it reduces inflammation in the eye, and allows the muscles which shape your eyeball to focus in and out, to function better.
Thank you. I'll check it out.
