A wedding in the Forest

On the weekend we went to a wedding in a forest in the Midlands, which is about 250 kilometers in land of Kwazulu Natal South Africa.

After driving about two kilometer through a cane field on a dusty ,very bumpy gravel road, we came to a beautiful tranquil natural setting of tall pine trees in the middle of the forest .It was breathtakingly beautiful, my mind conjured up all sorts of imaginary characters from Alice in wonderland, waiting for her and the mad hatter to appear from behind the trees.
Benches were neatly set out in rows for the guests to sit during the wedding ceremony which took place under a beautifully decorated Canopy of indigenous flowers .

The couple said their vows and went off for the photo shoot which seemed to take ages. I went off to explore the beautiful scenery.

Off to the reception which was held down the road from the ceremony called "Crystal Barn"
I had to take a last picture in the forest of the majestic lake.

The reception at Crystal Barn was just as magical as the forest, it looked like a scene from a classical novel. People sitting on blankets having champagne, some seated at tables beside a river chatting away endlessly.

I managed to take a quick peak at the reception hall before the battery on my phone died.

It was an amazing wedding, celebrations went on until midnight before everyone slowly departed to their favorite B&B's in the surrounding area of the beautiful Midlands.
