A Moment Away

This week is our "fall break" from school, which is really only two days. Anyway, my Brothers and I decided to take advantage of these two days and packed our sacks for a hike along the Lost Coast. This was my first time backpacking. My Stepbrother said the trail we were about to hike was rated the hardest in Northern California. "Great", I thought as we parked the car in the seemingly middle of nowhere. Each of our packs were about 35-40 pounds. The hike took about five hours there and back, and our camp site was close to five and a half miles in. The terrain was rough. The weather was awesome. The views and surroundings were beautiful. Here are some pictures even though they probably won't do it justice.

Thanks for a trip I won't forget. Backpacking is awesome! Also, sorry about not posting in a while. Life gets in the way of so many things I would rather do.
