Destiny: The pull of fatesteemCreated with Sketch.

One fine evening, I was walking back home from the market fairly agitated, since I'd had a small brawl with the shopkeeper, and more so because I had a test the next day and hadn't studied for it at all.

When I was almost home, I was stopped by a small boy. He asked me to help me get his ball back which had got stuck atop a roof, as he judged me to be tall enough. Out of my irritation, I brushed him aside and went inside.

I opened the book to study but realized that the child's face kept cropping up and distracting me. Unable to focus, I finally gave in and went out to help him. He was glad to see me, and after I'd given him his ball (after some jumping and wall-crawling), he hugged me tight and thanked me. He could hardly reach my waist. I was overwhelmed. As I was going in again, I saw that he was playing all by himself. On asking the reason behind it, he said that he had no one to play with. I was overcome with emotion and played with him for the next two hours.

I came back finally and realized it was already dinnertime and that I was too tired to stay up late (since I never played).

I prayed for the test to go well, and slept.

Believe it or not, the test was postponed.

Was this sheer luck? Sure.

How?

Because, the good we do to others comes back to us and that's what we call luck.

To improve it, all we have to do is spread happiness everywhere we go and put others before ourselves. Our own problems will automatically sort themselves out with a stroke of luck (:

Destiny is, in simple terms, the ultimate goal of our life.

Cheers!
