Life Hack Number 1 Archimedes
This article is written to give you a simple, easy and quick hack to peeling your hard boiled eggs. The first part involves cooking the egg but if you want to get right to the peeling hack, skip to paragraph 3.
Ever had the issue of pealing a hard boiled egg of that annoying shell? Have you ever had the problem of it not coming off easily? Well this is your solution.
So for starters, begin by cooking the egg in hot water. DON'T START COLD. The reason being is that it will make the egg harder to peal if you start cold. Many people think that you start cold because it cooks it more evenly. Well starting hot, matter in fact, gives you the same even cooking and also blesses you with an easy peal. Let the eggs cook for about 13 minutes at a low boil, then dunk them into ice water for about five minutes. The they are ready to eat.
When you are about to peel the egg, instead of doing it the normal way, use a spoon. Slide the spoon underneath the shell gently as to not break the egg white but just enough to get under the shell. Then slowly twist the egg around making sure to have the spoon go all the way around the edges of the egg and it should all peel off in one big chunk.
Then you are ready to eat it. This same trick applies for certain other foods one for example being a kiwi.
I hoped this was helpful and thanks for reading.
