Today Iran continues to struggle from a civil and governmental cold/warm war. Since the conquest of Iran by Arabs at around 600AD Iran has struggled to keep its Persian identity. Iranians can be both Muslim and Persian but due to negative propaganda from current and previous Islamic governments, anything Persian is deemed as anti-Islamic and bad. This has created a division between the Iranian people and continues to haunt them down to this day!

Now the best solution is that the Iranian people need to become one in accepting their founding fathers who were Persian and Zoroastrian. To clarify, I have nothing against Arabs, Muslims, The Holy Quran or current day Muslim Persian Mullahs - Some of my best friends are from these cultures. But I do have a problem with anyone who forces their way of living on others and has no respect for cultures that came before them! I consider myself a Zoroastrian Persian. Now if you consider yourself to be a Muslim Persian I have a question for you: Do you think that Iran as a country with a Persian heritage needs to further and pay respect to Persian values as well other values or not? If yes, then why can't we teach Shahnameh as one of the religious cultural books in our primary schools right now?
