Creativity is explained by the cooperation of three neural networks of the brain

in #life7 years ago

Scientists came to the conclusion that the ability to find non-standard solutions to problems depends on how well three different neural networks of the brain work together.

Researchers have linked the ability to creative thinking with the simultaneous operation of three different neural networks of the human brain.

The main source of an unusual view of the world of the authors of the work is called the network of passive mode of the brain. It unites several anatomically distant from each other, but functionally connected parts of the brain.

The study involved about 160 people. They passed the test for divergent thinking - the ability to find many solutions for one problem.

Scientists have noticed that in the search for new solutions, three specified neural networks were activated. The better they "synchronized" with each other, the more new ideas the person found. Then the researchers followed the inverse relationship.
