Never Too Late To Celebrate Birthday!
It was a boring evening when I got a text from one of my best friends asking me if I'm up for dinner tomorrow. I said yes, since I didn't get to hang out with them lately after dad's funeral. The plan was to go for steamboat. We were discussing which steamboat restaurant to go when suddenly I remembered Steamboat Bakar at Kepayan. They all agreed so we set time and place to meet up. Me and my friend Josephine drove all the way from Papar to Cybercity to park the car there and car pulling in @rosariorubin's new car. We were all very hungry. I have not eaten the whole day knowing that I'm going to stuff my face later on.
As soon as we got off the car when we reach Steamboat Bakar, the smell was amazing and I got even more hungrier than before. We quickly chose the best sit in the house and chose our broth flavor. We chose chicken flavored broth. Before they set up the table for us, one of my friends surprised us with a cake. Note that our birthday was on February. We were laughing all the way from singing the birthday song to cutting cake. Ridiculous but they said, better late than never. Agreed! Since every day is my birthday. Haha..
Our hotplates are now ready! We took turns taking food then straightaway stuff our faces. I think I ate too fast. At the end of the day, we were all full and sleepy. We were asking each other, where to next but then we all decided to just head home since we're all very full and tired. We really are getting old but it's ok, as long as we're getting old together. Thank you God for blessing me with such good friends around. Oh ya! The food was fabulous! Why don't you go try it yourself?

I have never seen such a steamboat before though. So you place the food you do not want to eat first at the center? Or you let it boil and then after it is cooked you place it at the center?
