RE: The comfort of having a mentor
Hey @maverickinvictus,
Just stopping by to say 'Hi' and check in on you.
Thanks for sharing your burnout experience. And how your mentor has helped you stay on the straight and narrow, balance and progress-wise.
My two mentors were the mothers of two of my high school best friends. I've always called them 'second mothers'. I could discuss both personal and professional concerns with them.
Thanks for reminding me of them via your post. One passed a few years ago and I miss her so much. The other travels and is so busy I hardly get a chance to see her. Will reach out to her tomorrow though. ;)
Be well, Mav. xxx

Oh I am sorry to hear one of your mentors passed away :( It is good to reconnect from time to time. Social Media and technology like Skype helps if we get too busy, keeping us connected.
Thanks so much, @maverickinvictus.
Yes, technology bridges the gap a LOT. I haven't seen my mother since 2010 and my heart aches to see her. But Whatsapp means she's as close as a phone call or text away. Have to get butt in gear and organize a trip soonest though. ;)
I saw a LOT of rain pics over your way some days ago, Mav. Is it still raining a lot now?
