Getting addicted to things is actually good for you
Yes we all are afraid of this word called addiction, from a very young age we are being told to stay away from getting addicted to something,and often people get addicted to something even without knowing that they are an addict to it.
Let's take my case an example, I am an addicted to 2 things in particular
Smartphone and Alcohol,both gives me immense pleasure.
Well how the hell can I say that these are a good thing ?? this is what you will probably be thinking, let me make it clear to you by breaking down what an addiction is and how you can control your addictions to become more productive in your life.
If we are addicted to something it means that we get immense pleasure by using it and at the same time the same amount of depression after using it for a long time, the trick is to find the sweet spot of your addiction and to control it so that that gives you the power to do more in your life,so the more no of addictions you have the more things that will give you happiness and motivation.
The one way I use my addictions for a good cause is like this, whenever I achieve something I am allowed to go out and have a drink, rather than thinking I am not an addict and finding excuses to go to the pub, now I will set myself small goals that I can achieve and fulfill them before enjoying myself.
This method of controlling my mind and setting small goals have been proven really useful to me.Now a word of warning, by addiction I only meant something that gives you pleasure, bad addictions like drugs etc must be avoided if you want to be successful.
