He cried but always
managed to hide.
He wanted to be strong
So she could feel safe.
He never told her
of his rough past
the fact that,
He was scarred inside.
He simply wanted
her to be happy
He wanted her to be safe
He just wanted her,
to stay by his side
Till the end of time.
But again,
it's a tragic world
Where love never wins.
In the end, she left him
with a note saying,
He was never true
And he never tried.
There should allways be room for poetry on a platform. Really nice to see that Steemit's growth is now making more and more room for this on here. Have fun out there and good luck with your future posts!
