Lord Buddha-An Enlightened Teacher of Spirituality & Peace within, The Reality of Life, & ascetic life !
I have something special within me about "Lord Buddha" that fascinates and attracts me more about the whole personality about him, perhaps the most important is "Simplicity & an Ascetic life". Despite being a Prince, "Prince Siddhartha Gautama" he left his palace and chose the path to spirituality and enlightenment. It indeed was way to early for him to realize the bitter truth of life..."The Cycle of Birth & Death"...and he decided to leave everything behind and search for the "Reality of Life" a quest for enlightenment ! He left the palace to search for it and eventually "attained enlightenment".
It is indeed interesting to know that Buddha's teachings are universal, no matter what "Religion" you follow... what "Culture" you have been born and/or brought up in, anyone and everyone can follow his principles.
Lord Buddha’s teachings, have the sheer strength to "awaken people, to reality...reality of life" & make them, truly introspect themselves, with a deeper insight into one’s existence, besides learning to attain, spirituality, peace & enlightenment, above all, in liberating himself/herself, from the day to day conflicts arising in minds & how to overcome that all !!!
So, recently, there was an exhibit on "Lord Buddha" and I had an opportunity to visit and participate. Here are some of the captures, that you would love to watch.
Just thought to experiment and create Monochrome Version of Lord Buddha's statue's images and here are two of them.

Thank you so much, Dear Deepak! Really appreciate that!
Well written! The pictures are very clear and stunning!
I agree that Buddha's teachings are necessary and will provide anyone who seeks them, an enlightened view of spiritual existence.
A caveat, I must say, is the key word "seek."
Those who seek wisdom are sure to find it.
Those who are not seeking wisdom will not find it.
Giving someone a spiritual prescription, unrequested, will construct a boundary for that person to overcome.
It's like giving someone a gift that takes batteries, but not supplying the batteries with the gift. For those that sought after the gift, will indeed find the batteries. But, those who did not seek the gift will see it as a burden and perhaps think less of the person offering the gift.
I've offered many a wisdom to friends and family only to see those relationship burdened with an invisible boundary.
Thank you so much !
Those pictures are great to have seen, as it shows proof of african involvement in Asia, check my blog for pictures from the British museum you might be able to relate artefacts to what you saw on your trip
