Fire In Zero Gravity🤔🤔...

in #life6 years ago

Hi steemians.....
Hope you guys are doing great. Before starting, I want to ask you a question.
Have you ever wondered that how a flame of fire look like in zero gravity?

Have you ever wondered that how fire would be looking like to astronauts?
Take some time and think.......😊😊!!!64114511-isolated-abstract-red-and-orange-color-fire-flame-set-on-white-background-campfire-spicy-food-symbol.jpg

Hope you are done...

Now let's start...

Well, you assumed very right... Fire in space would look different as it looks like on Earth.
We have an influence of gravity on Earth. So the ions of flame are bounded by the gravitational pull of Earth. Here the flame has a definite shape in which lighter ions rise up and heavy ions stay down or we can say that hot particles rise up and colder particle settle down. Even there is a fixed difference of temperature in a flame. The outermost part of the flame is the hottest (mostly blue part) and the mid part of the flame which is slightly blackish is coolest. Quite simple, right? 😊😊

Now, this chemical reaction is the same when a flame burns in space but there is no influence of gravity there. So yes, you assumed right, there, the flame burns symmetrically i.e., reactions of flame occur equally in all directions. There, the flame is a bit cooler because it doesn't get enough oxygen to proceed chemical reactions faster, but if you supply oxygen there also, then it will be equally hot as it's hot on earth. Hotter and lighter parts there, burn together and so.... flame forms a spherical shape.🤔🤔🤔
Here hot particles rise up but there, hot particles move in all directions and give flame a spherical shape.

Confused?? Okay, you will understand it. Just look at the image below. It shows that how flame on earth looks like and how flame under zero gravity influence i.e., in space looks like.

Hope you understood it very well.
That's all for now...

I did not know that 😅

Why its flame look blue all around?

It's going under complete combustion(as a point of sufficient oxygen is discussed there) and so it has the maximum temperature in that region. More the temperature more is the bluish color will be there.
