Interesting post. I usually try to find the cheapest flight to my destination but never really experienced too much of an issue. Although I have noticed the thing about the gate announcement and how far they manage to place them... Thanks for sharing.
Try travelling a couple more times a year, i'm sure the issues start creeping in. And then, a big issue basically makes it the last straw for you.
