HARD COPIES VS SOFT COPIES
I am a voracious novel reader. Back in the day, I had a huge collection of novels (hard copies). I had some extra special ones (about 50) I hauled around and had been a lucrative source of income for the airlines in many places who got excess luggage fees from me.
With the discovery of ebooks, I had a 360 degrees shift - all the novels to my heart content with the weight of whatever smartphone/device with me. I absolutely love soft copies; most especially since I was able to get soft copies of my old favourites...
Do we still have people who prefer to read a hard copy?
Why??
Let's hear from the bookworms pls...
Cheers!
It's tough to compete with how convenient technology makes our lives. And it is hard not to love having a selection to choose from in your pocket. (I've 5 on my phone as I type this!) But, I have a deep romanticism for a physical copy. The weight of the book. The smooth and slick plastic protected covers. The rugged smell of a leatherbound volume. The creak of the binding as the book is opened. And my favorite, being so lost inside that you forgot you were turning pages until none were left.
