2- Springs and dunes of plaster in Cuatrociénegas, Coahuila

Cuatrociénegas is one of the 38 municipalities of the state of Coahuila, in the north of Mexico. It is located in the Central Desert Region of Coahuila, and has an important ecological reserve, which is home to several endemic organisms.

Its municipal head is the city of Cuatrociénegas de Carranza.

Cuatrociénegas was chosen by the first colonists by virtue of the springs of the zone, that form extensive areas of marshes and lakes. Its head is the town of Cuatrociénegas de Carranza. It was given this name because Venustiano Carranza was born there on December 29, 1859, which was the eleventh son of Colonel Jesus Carranza and Maria de Jesus Contreras.

3- Reserve of the Monarca Butterfly Biosphere in Michoacán

The Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve is located in the eastern part of the state of Michoacán and part of the western part of the State of Mexico in central Mexico. The reserve was created to protect the natural environment and habitat of the monarch butterfly having a total area of ​​56 thousand hectares. It was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2008.

4- La Peña de Bernal is the third largest monolith in the world, is located in the town of Bernal that belongs to the municipality of Ezequiel Montes in the state of Querétaro, Mexico. According to studies carried out, the rock was formed from a volcano that exhausted its activity, later the lava of the interior became solid and the erosion that suffered through the years made disappear the remains of the volcano. The solid magma that remained is what constitutes and forms the monolith.

5- Basement of the Golondrinas, in San Luis Potosí

The Basin of Las Golondrinas is a natural abyss located in the town of Aquismón pertaining to the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí. In particular, it is a cave of karstic origin, formed by the erosion of water in an impermeable fault of a limestone plain. The depth of this abyss is of about 376 meters. The upper opening is at ground level and has a diameter of about 60 meters, while the bottom has a maximum opening of about 300 meters by 60 in its narrowest part. This site also has the peculiarity of being a natural refuge for birds, and contrary to what its name implies, they are not swallows. In the cave is also possible to find a species of parrots, locally called cave parrots.
