Why I Stopped Writing Like A Typical Self-Help Blogger

. I stopped giving a fuck.

. No, really. The two forces that are “I really wanna help people” and “I want to make a living out of this” clash really badly to the point it’s hypocritical.

. Yet, I’ve learnt that any real artist and entrepreneur would recognize that finding the balance between the two is how you actually can succeed as both artist and entrepreneur.

. Yet, there’re so many bullshitters out there who claim they’re not in it for the money or just love helping people as if they’re the pope.

. Typical lists and bullet points can be annoying and insincere. You’re not going to care about this post after you’re done.

. Not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur. Not everyone wants to hustle. There is nothing wrong with a 9-5. I hate how anything less is “bad.” I guess majority of the world is bad then if that’s the case.

. I got lazy.

. Some quotes are actually really stupid.

. Self-help bloggers act like life is really awesome all the time while they preach like angels which is bullshit. You’ve good . days and then you’ve bad days. Period.

. Life coaches are full of shit.

. I really hope to carve out a name for myself on my own in this space, and no, I don’t mean that in a “I am an introvert” kind of way and then I bank on that shit. Not everything needs to be contrived.

. All I want is to write my thoughts and share my musings in hopes of being your friend; your equal, like your friendly newscaster on TV or YouTube. You don’t need to be inspired by me. If you can think like, “Oh, I wonder what Alden has to say today” and actually feel like you’re not alone, I am happy.
