An Artist Creates Anger, Sadness, Love And Hatred. He Does Not Report

doorways to the deep down

I was just surfing the web last night and checking out a bunch of blogs I used to read up on long time ago.

I even wrote for these blogs before as I offered guest posts for them.

As I looked at them again, I cringed so hard.

These blogs are all under the "how to make money online" umbrella. And with that, the little niches that are branding, marketing, online marketing, writing and many more are spawned.

I am honestly ashamed to say that I banked all my energy learning from such blogs and their respective bloggers.

I remember writing a guest post on some generic bullshit belonging to one of the aforementioned niches and then sharing it on my Facebook proudly, as if I scored a viral hit.

It was all a farce. I was a mere, tiny gear in their gigantic circle jerk of pretentious entrepreneurs who masturbate each other for validation and money.

Of course, they didn't care about me. They only cared about each other and the money they made.

Even checking out those bloggers today after a few years, they are still literally writing about the same shit and partnering up with the same entrepreneurs in the same circle jerks.

As a writer who fucking loves to write and henceforth, an artist, it's circle jerks like these that waylay you from being the great artist you're meant to be.

When you lose focus of who you are, you end up chasing the money as you create generic bullshit altogether.

An artist creates anger, sadness, love and hatred.

And then their art comes forth.

And then the audience feels that anger, sadness, love and hatred. That's the point of art, to make people feel something.

An artist does not report.

If you do, this is when you write about writing. You market about marketing. Your brand is about branding. You make money by teaching others how to make money. You sell, "How I sell." You publish books on how to publish books. You give speeches on how to give speeches. You make a system, which is ironically about teaching others how to make the same system. You talk about your own success only after you're successful, thereby ignoring the intricacies of struggle and hardships that is actually essential for success.

You have no art.

There is no emotion. You care not for allowing others to feel something. There is only a greed for money as you treat humans as commodities.

If you're an artist, start feeling today.
