Onitsuka Tiger Now Lets You Customize Your Shoes For Added Kick

ASICS Japan, the maker of Onitsuka Tiger footwear, has announced customization services for the iconic ‘Mexico 66 Deluxe’ silhouette.
The ‘Mexico 66 Deluxe’ belongs to Onitsuka Tiger’s ‘NIPPON MADE’ series—a collection of leather shoes handcrafted using materials sourced entirely from Japan. “No two pairs are alike,” the brand claims.
In a press release, ASICS explained that the service aims to respect “the individuality and unique preferences of customers.”
Through the campaign, you’ll be able to personalize your pair’s upper from a selection of 10 materials including “smooth, embossed, suede” leathers. You’ll also be able to modify its shoelaces and soles, as well as have it embroidered with your name.
The service will be available only at Onitsuka Tiger’s specialty ‘NIPPON MADE’ store in Omotesando, Japan, beginning 23 January 2018.
