The battle of the bottle (total honesty).
I am not an alcoholic but fall into a different catagory entirely, I am a drinker, I readily admit I love alcohol, and could not imagine a life without it, I am not alone I know, I moderate my drinking to every three days so I give my body a chance to recover and somehow hope I will stave off some off the negative consequences, but there is not a day goes by that I do not want a drink, for the sweet release it affords me. It is a subject people shy from, but not me, never, I am not here to preach, I am middle age relatively fit, running my own small business, and refusing to become a statistic, I will continue to drink this way as for me to go back to abstinence (I did this for 15 years) is not an option, we all need something, for me thats is drink. I do not advocate doing the same, but if you are aware that there is a problem, I have found that I can enjoy a life of controlled drinking on my terms, I may just be lucky, but from the research I have done I think not it is doable, it is an alternative to the endless never again, noone understands what it is like when drink has a hold on you, instead of the other way round, Cheers all, I drink to you.
