How did you die?

The idea that people are born and reborn, and that we have all had past lives, dates back at least 3,000 years.

From Déjà Vu, to unusual memories childhood memories, inexplicable aches doctors can’t seem to pinpoint or find any medical explanation for and, more specifically, birthmarks; those who believe in reincarnation affirm clues such as these can say a lot about our past lives.

Reincarnation researchers have discovered that some people who experienced a traumatic death in the past, they still carry the scars of those injuries only now, in the form of a birthmarks. Biologically speaking, a birthmark is defined as a benign irregularity on the skin, but despite what doctors believe, they still don’t know what caused these pigment cells and blood vessels to group in the first place.

And digging even further in the matter, is almost impossible to look at reincarnation birthmarks without coming across with the name Dr. Ian Stevenson. A man who researched children's past lives for forty years or so, primarily between the ages of 2 and 4 so their memories wouldn’t be already filled with family stories. Surprisingly, according to his work, about 35 percent of children who claim to remember past lives have birthmarks that can be linked to the wounds of the person they were in a past life.

Dr. Stevenson published his findings in a book called "Where Reincarnation and Biology Intersect: Birthmarks and Birth Defects", over 2,000 pages of a compelling argument.

In his studies, he found out that in 1980, a young fruit seller named Mushir Ali collided with a tractor and died from injuries to his right side when he suffered several fractured ribs. Less than a year later, Naresh Kumar was born, carrying a significant birthmark just on the right side of his body where his ribs were located. As soon as he learned to talk, he spoke of memories of selling fruit and being a Muslim, despite being raised in a Hindu family. His memories went from selling mangoes to even dying in the collision. Things turned even stranger when Naresh got the chance to meet Mushir Ali’s relatives and recognized them all, naming them one by one.

However, in several languages the word birthmark means “cravings” or “unfulfilled wishes.” Birthmarks are also believed, in some cultures, to be reflections of unsatisfied food wishes of the mom during her pregnancy.

Possibly, though, birthmarks may have a much deeper meaning. They might be soul scars from wounds or surgeries suffered in a past life. Several researchers claim that after the people recall their deaths, they heal the memory and the birth mark simply fades away.

Is it real then?

Although there are logical psychological and medical explanations for this phenomena, you experiencing them doesn’t necessarily mean that it can be attributed to your past.
