The Man Sent From God
Yesterday, I decided to write down some notes on what i learnt at church and it sounds very interesting.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
There was a man…
We must understand that God's main method for men is man. Hence, the tormented rich man in hell was told that his five other brethren should listen to 'Moses and the prophets'( Lk. 16:29). Also, Paul's encounter with the Lord on the road to Damascus was not complete until a man, Ananaias was sent to pray for him ( Acts 9:10-18). God sends men just like us. Just as the scriptures say, 'Elijah was a man subject to like passions…' ( Jas. 5:16). They are also like us, prone to all that we go through. Acts 14:11-15 speaks of how Paul and Barnabas tore their clothes and exclaimed to the people that we are men just like them.…sent from God…
They are men sent from God. They are special because of who they work for, God! They are from God for special assignments. So we must not see them as just mere men. We must see them as special and treat them with respect and honour, in the same manner that you would a special emissary of a Great King. Now we don't respect preachers as they did in past times. Why? Because of the fakes involved. But that should not make us have the premise that all of them are fake. There are true men of God! The fact that fake money exists does not mean that all money is fake and that money is no longer good. That is the lie the devil is using to make their blessed work ineffective. Keep this in mind paa.- …whose name was John.
John means GRACE! They are gracious blessings from God to us and they have special grace to do what they do so they are not ordinary. They have the power to catapult you into your God given destiny, just as John the Baptist, a man of God baptised the Son of God, the Lord Jesus, launching Him into ministry. Great grace and power rests upon them by virtue of who they work for. We must hold them in high esteem, especially in our hearts. In fact, we must believe them as much as we believe God ( 2 Chron. 20:20). Remember God's question to Aaron and Miriam, "Why were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" ( Num. 12:8) And "so the anger of the Lord was aroused against them," but the man of God, interceded for them him. We must develop a fear of speaking against men of God. So, let us all appreciate our pastors and leaders in Christ. This includes our parents and other leaders. At least, we must respect and honour them. Let us fight for the best for them, just as David's great and mighty men fought through whole armies to go and bring just a little water to him. They put their lives on the line by virtue of their submission and love for their master to fulfil his will ( 2 Sam. 23:14-17). God blessed them and they did great feats because of their connection to that anointing.
This is what I share with you.

Let us learn to be like these mighty men.
