Pupdate 3: Lola and Me

(I was aiming for a Marley and Me title reference to those who know the movie, not quite sure if it worked.)

This afternoon my mother wanted me to accompany her and my brother on a walk to the dog park. We prepared the dog waste bags and strapped them up in their collars and leads and drove to the dog park.

This area has a trail that people use to jog, ride bikes and walk their dogs. Along the trail you can see playground and exercise equipment. There is also a tennis and swimming facility. Running through multiple parks and a golf course, the "Little" para river is 29 kilometers (18 miles), it's source starts in the Mount Lofty ranges and flows west all the way to the mouth which is Swan Creek.

During the walk, we encountered a few people who were walking or relaxing on benches and Lilo, the big bully decided to abuse them with her high pitched barks while the pup merely watched and wanted to play. Most of the people commented on how "gorgeous" and "precious". We walked past some young teens that were waiting for their mates on the playground equipment and decided to greet the dogs and pet them.

We continued along the trail, my brother reminiscing in his youth, telling us stories about how him and his mates would come to the park and hang out to smoke. While I didn't really listen to his stories, too preoccupied with the pup and not getting her tangled in her lead or watching her walk into someones feet.

While it was my first time walking the pup, it was her second time walking at that park. While it was Lilo's first, she was never really too social and we just decided parks weren't for her, and her fear of the car never really helped in that venture, while now she's not bothered by being in the car.

After finishing the trail and rounding back to the car, we gave the dogs a drink with some water we brought and a bowl. We then drove home and stripped the dogs of their leads and collars and watched them drop dead from exhaustion.
