HQ Trivia- The coolest game ever invented
Possibly the most innovative game of 2017
HQ Trivia is an awesome mobile app hybrid between live gameshow and trivia game where you compete against other players in real time to win real cash prizes.
The game starts daily at 3pm and 9pm in New York (Eastern Standard Time US) with some special games such as the New Years Eve special with an $18000 cash prize. When the game begins, the host of the show asks 12 multiple choice questions. From the time the question starts, players have 10 seconds to choose an answer. Upon getting an answer wrong, the player is eliminated from the contest but can still watch the show. The number of people playing dwindles until after the 12th question a small group remains among who the prize money is divided evenly.
The game was created by Rus Yusupov and Colin Kroll, the inventors of Vine and was released less than a month ago. One day the creators hope that the prize will increase to a million dollars. Whatever the prize is though, the game is fun and addicting. I have played almost very day this week. Playing HQ feels like something of the future cool but kind of creepy. It almost reminds me of something out of a dystopian novel. Despite this I continue to play and believe that it is probably the gameshow of the future.
