The biggest problem is that we think other people think like us.

And, when talking about billionaires, we are often talking about narcissists or sociopaths. And neither of those think like you. In their world it is all about power. No level of money is ever enough. And such things as reducing the world's population to save the planet sounds perfectly logical.
