This has what to do with Trump supporters?
There is no correlation between political opinion and what happened. Any correlation is simply generated by your own opinions to stir up falsehoods. This was a personal decision by this officer's supervisor. I am sure the supervisor wasn't staring at a Trump poster saying MAGA instead of YOLO right before they made the call to arrest the nurse.
I'd gamble to say most Trump supporters likely support the nurse for common sense reasons.
Many Trump supporters who cheered during his speech, where he called for cops to, "not be so nice" is who I was aiming this at. This same kind of 4th Amendment violations under Obama and Bush were also cheered by neo-cons, who want cops militarized, and do "whatever is necessary" to get criminals off the street. So, if you are a Trump supporter and disliked this, then cheers! As far as the left is concerned, they are just as bad when it comes to over-zealous police. They want private citizens to be disarmed, and only the police and military to be armed. That is just as dangerous to liberty as cops violating the 4th Amendment.
The kind of people that voted for Trump, in a general sense, also tend to be the type of people that worship the police, are authoritarians on "crime fighting" (including on fighting victimless "crimes" such as the War on Drugs) and tend to have been very high on things like the Patriot Act, NSAA and other growths of the police state machinery. The logical conclusion of all of that is what we can see now, with cops drunk on power. Furthermore, cops are like monkeys and "monkey see, monkey do" when it comes to politicians who are always voted for, not respecting the constitution, which the large majority of conservatives agree with when it happens to be convenient (such as violations of the 4th amendment). Actions have consequences, and voting for authoritarians that support a "not so nice police" (thank Eric) also has consequences.
